If a tree's reflection falls through the surface of a weightless mirror cube and only you are around to notice - does it make a sound?  Yes it does. And it sounds massive.  It sounds like complex broken beats, lush baselines, trip hop vocals and snippets of carefully crafted melodies. It sounds like the double distilled essence of Firnwald's music, brought to the next level. And who would have guessed - there it started a love affair with pop.

Alejandro Remeseiro aka „Konsumprodukt“ has been haunting the internet for quite some time now. And over all these years he has achieved something very rare in this wannabe soundalike world of home music production: he has developed an unmistakable sound of his own – a wild and disturbingly happy hybrid of Bossanova, Disco, Latin and Acid Jazz, spiced up with tons of voice samples. Guaranteed to bring some sunshine into gray autumn days.

Are 10 years of making music enough to be called a legend? We guess so, and we congratulate the 8bit collective of Gameboymusicclub for their anniversary! Founded in 2002, GBMC have all rights to call themselves "the largest and sexiest gameboymusic collective in the world". Their fascination of an inexpensive electronic toy used as an instrument is contagious. Laridae is very happy to present you this very special album.

"To become a man, you have to go through pretty rigorous stuff that is pretty mind-numbing. And hurtful." This quote (from track Nr. 3 'Just to make it 17') marks the beginning of Photophob's attempt to produce the retrospective soundtrack for the process of growing up as a boy. "Circadian Rhythms" is the result, the sound of an elapsed childhood, from daydreaming nostalgia to fear and insecurity. This album has originally been released as CD-R on laridae.at in 2007. The...

No rest for the wicked. Four years of silence from Das Gritli Moser meant no rest either. She has been busy. Working on evil stuff, you know. More than 4 years have passed since Das Gritli Moser has had her first dancing lesson with the devil. And now, after years of training to perfect her diabolic step sequences of death and gore, the beastly breakcore brat is back to deliver just another 66 minutes and 6 seconds of the blackest Satanic Noisecore between this world and the deepest pits of...

Harry Jen, that means experimental music that doesn’t let it show, the experimental. Grown from the hot spot between pop and serious music, between acoustic and electronic, between natural and synthetic, and not least between concrete and improvised an unequalled sound emerges. Imagine paintings for the headphones. Organic, thought-out, uncompromising, sound affine. The tricks of sound wizard Harry Jen set standards.

In 2012, Tomoroh Hidari will release his light absorbing ambient monster "Some Stars Not Yet Black Holes" as double 12" on Record Label Records. Due to the extreme mass of this project, laridae was able to utilize the caused divergency in space-time, to release the spin-off album "The Black Star Variations" even BEFORE its own source release. So, we invite you to swap the Star of Betlehem with Hidari's Black Stars of dark ambient and wish you all a merry saturnalia!

If you listen closely, you can hear the whispering of the ghosts. They tell stories of the past, of long forgotten memories, of love and loss. Rob Curulli seems to have listened quite a lot to what they have to say. And with his post rock project "Rooftop Access" he has now put these paranormal visions into a full length album, a floating, transcendental collection of guitar improvisations, with cautious but artful production. And if you listen closely, you can hear the whispering of...

Herwig Holzmann (maybe better known as Photophob) describes his method of making music as “musical storytelling“ – soundtracks for nonexistent movies. He wants listeners to create their own stories and images in their minds as they listen to what he describes as his pieces of “audio fiction.“ Most often when he creates a new track he begins with a hazy idea of the mood that he wants to establish and then instinctively generates sounds and rhythms that converge on that idea. The titles...

This is the 2nd of two EPs Photophob released on binkcrsh (http://c67.org/binkcrsh/). Five Odes to Lem contains what the title promises: 5 good-humored spacy odes to the great Polish Sci-Fi writer Stanislaw Lem. Each track is named after a different character in the novels and short stories by Lem.

This 5 track EP has originally been released on binkcrsh (http://c67.org/binkcrsh/) in 2004. It is the predecessor for (and should not be confused with) the full length album "Music for Spaceports LP", released on year later on Earstroke records (http://www.archive.org/details/EAR014). Anyway: space is the place - have fun!

Is there a sense of satisfaction in the sound wavering air, or is Schaua playing some sort of game with us again? We nearly got used to his accusingly rough rock'n roll attitude on the last releases, and now … he got thoughtful all of a sudden. Sitting in his hotel room, wandering over the street lighted sidewalks of his old home town. Time and people passing by. Music is playing. Everything is perfect, everything is in its place.

When old wooden doors in rainy Wales sway in the wind, Firnwald finds the right atmosphere for his songs. The three-part album Cinder mixes universally danceable with uniquely dissonant pieces. The centerpiece is Dance, on which the symbiosis of nature and technology is expressed in fast electronic songs with elaborate beats and in thoughtful, aerial guitar songs. Wood offers smart drum ‘n bass combined with primal, violent tracks. Fused contains remixes of the songs on Wood and Dance...

Originally planned as alternative soundtrack to Fritz Lang's cult movie "Metropolis", kARHu's "Sinfonia For The Blunt Sword" has turned into something much bigger during its 4 years of production: a 76-minute masterpiece of contemporary electronic music, full of dark atmospheres, insane beat programming and merciless sampling. We are very proud at laridae to share this very inspiring work of brutal beauty with you.

Tom Pi’s childhood in the 70s and 80s was shaped by Superhero-comics, Action-figures, Science Fiction Series and Perry Rhodan novels. The naive charm and aesthetics of these early visions of future can be found again in his music. Analogue Synthesizers are wobbling along, psychedelic Guitar sounds are floating around and the voices sound foreign and somewhat mechanic. Bass and drums are unerringly paving their way through this sound universe. When the music winds down a little, that’s when...

Winterphonic, the Austrian duo of Adina Camhy and Emanuel Jauk, dive deep into what they call a transformative process of decomposition and rearrangement. The result is Spirals, ten tracks, ten musical experiences. Trip hop comes into your mind - of course. The crispy mixture of Hip hop, Jazz and Electronica. Dirty sound of the 90ies, good old days, familiar depression. Yes, we're still in love with our sadness.

„Common Space Incidents“ is the official debut-album of singer and instrumentalist Angela Aux. Songtitles and lyrics are based on several interesting things all around space and time, men and machines and the question, whether angst of error is error itself. „Common Space Incidents“ ranges from 60ies folk to neopsych soundcollages but features experimental hiphop and electronic as well. Some loop ways end up somewhere among trash pop, spoken word and blippop - as space is the place for...
